2D Animation graduate

Karalee Constant

Tansi (Hello),

My name is Karalee Constant, and I’m an Indigenous Artist from The Pas (OCN), Manitoba. I’m a 2D Animator, Digital Painter, Freelance Artist, Character Designer, and Illustrator. I was born and raised in a small northern First Nation community, spending much of my time outdoors with family—hunting, fishing, and camping. When I wasn’t outside, I was drawing. From a very young age of 5, I loved creating characters and illustrations inspired by Native art, cartoons, mythical creatures, animals, and snakes.

Growing up, I watched old Disney VHS films, completely captivated by the magic of traditional 2D animation. That early inspiration sparked my passion for bringing my own art and characters to life through animation. I’ve dreamed of contributing to the animation industry, creating characters and stories that audiences can connect with—stories that reflect Indigenous storytelling, culture, and creativity.

Today, I specialize in digital painting, character design, and freelance art commissions. I’m always eager to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges that help me grow both as an artist and as a collaborator in the animation field.

Ekosi (Thank you).
